DSPA-5 can be used in any enclosed area to lower temperatures by as
much as 700 degrees and knock down flames, allowing time for crews
to arrive and set up their attack. Tested and found to be effective on
Class A, B, C and K fires in contained spaces, a single DSPA-5 can
completely suppress a fire in a 3.500 cubic foot room and will slow
the spread of fire in larger spaces. DSPA-5 can also act as an agent

Suppressing Effects
The powder is composed primarily of potassium bicarbonate, contains no
sodium or chlorine and is safe for use near electronics and other
equipment.
DSPA-5 reduces property damage by using less water, and can be
cleaned up with a vacuum. It’s so effective in limiting property damage
that DSPA’s are often replaced by insurance carriers.
